The funniest part about this to me is that the AIDs epidemic actually forced medical researchers to accept that sometimes guys have sex with other guys, and they even created the term “Men who have Sex with Men” or MSM to cover this fact, since they aren’t necessarily gay or bi.

Like, society needs to get over this. Sometimes people have sex with other people. Sometimes they happen to be different genders, sometimes they’re the same. It only means whatever it means to the people fucking and little else

America is a wild land of extremes. In much of the country the median household income is around 40k but then in nany major cities 40k would barely cover rent. And highly skilled work can pay really bonkers salaries well past 100k

Being barefoot (specifically not even wearing socks) for some of the day actually made a noticable improvement on a few funky things about my feet that bothered me. So maybe those weird toe shoe people were onto something after all…

It’s based on way too many reinterpretations of descriptions of studies into how cats communicate. Basically cats without human interaction will only meow as kittens communicating to their mom and their mother might meow back, and as they grow older they will learn to communicate with each other purely by body language and pheramones. Cats who interact with humans have learned that meowing at us like kittens gets our attention and is effective at communicating with us.

Some have interpreted that to mean cats see us as really strange kittens, which of course gets miscommunicated by well meaning people repeating something they half-remember. It seems the reality is just cats have learned to adjust their behavior to better coexist with humans.

Impressively, cats and their humans also will develop complex enough communication that humans can interpret the need of the cat purely from their meow
