Lol what happened there? I actually made a conscious decision not to read it because I didn’t really enjoy reading Jurassic Park.

I read Jurassic Park recently and was surprised that the lawyer was one of the only level-headed characters. Everyone else was like “this place is gonna make so much money, let’s fucking GOOOOO!” And he was like “holy shit this is a disaster waiting to happen, we have to shut this place down.”
The movie did him dirty.
It’s a book with chapters. Basically a regular ass book. When kids are real little, their books are like 15 pages long. Then in like 1st or 2nd grade, they move onto reading big kid books - aka “chapter books” that have enough pages to warrant chapters.
You never hear someone over the age of 7 or 8 mention reading “chapter books” because they’re just know as books.
Except anon, who is dumb as fuck.
I was trying to explain this to my son yesterday. He’s in middle school but already has a career path picked out. I was like, “dude, I didn’t even know my current job existed until a decade after I graduated from college, you don’t have to have this all figured out yet. Plans change, life gets in the way. Just go with it.”
This comment makes me want to play some Kerbal Space Program again, where you can launch yourself into orbit from Minmus (the 2nd moon) with a jump.
