TIL a platypus makes venom.
Q: What does that say about dad watching fishing on tv rather than doing it for real on the water?
A: The man has sucked every dick in town.
Each time I’ve seen this over the last several days, it’s been some of the best news I’ve read in a while. Fuck that guy.
I work in IT and understand that the tradeoff for good security is a reduction in convenience. But this really reads like deliberate punishment. I get the same sense on Apple’s platforms. Wanna change your cloud password? Prove you know the unlock code to a device that you no longer own and haven’t had in a year. This is especially awesome when your employer makes you change passcodes on a regular basis and you have no idea what you used back then.
I don’t get it?
I think people generally have been taught to accept lower quality for convenience and even I, the guy who cared a lot about quality and spent for it, have acquiesced. I want full quality, uncompressed everything. But I stream my movies and stopped buying Blu-rays. I still buy CDs, but I’m an old man who likes album art.
Those people were condemned as witches. Best not to think about it.
